Welcome back
A lot of people talk about seeking approval. Wanting to be loved, and wanting to be recognised and approved. It’s almost like they’re trying to fill a hole in their lives with approval. How will other people liking you make you a more confident or stronger person, it won’t. What it comes down to really is self esteem, how we feel about ourselves on the inside. This is more important than having others applaud us. Celebrity status is all in the headlines today. Everyone wants to be famous. It’s like if they could be a celebrity everything would be alright. They would have proven themselves, they would “be” someone. In short, they would have approval.
Now I’m not going to go on about celebrities, that’s another issue, and if you want something, a better lifestyle, by all means go for it. And, if this means reaping approval along the way well know that you deserve it. But a quicker and faster way to gain approval is to give it to someone else. Show your appreciation, let someone you meet today know they’re doing a really good job, in what are probably hard time. Demonstrate genuine love.
Remember what you pass on must come back to you. This is like a karmic law. That’s how people create so much bad stuff. They’re continually resenting others, criticising them, attacking them. So guess what they receive in return? But if you give love and approval, as genuinely as you can, to as many as you can, then you will get it back. Guaranteed!

A lot of positive feedback to the new look website. Do send in your comments if you haven’t done so yet, as I said it’s a work in progress.
I’ve also re-categorising some old posts, (and in fact re-written a few of them). One to receive an upgrade is the God series, which I’ve now re-named “The Idea of God”. This actually came to me in a dream. I remember getting up one cold December morning about two years ago with the words in my head, rushing over to the table and writing it still in my pyjamas and shivering with cold! It covered about three foolscap pages. That became “God and the myth we create of the parent”. It was one of my earliest posts after I set up the uss. I’ve now made it into a five part series (it had been a three part), but the essential core is the same.
Also “Encounterment” came to me at another time while I was meditating, I slipped into a kind of nothingness by accident. Very powerful and very beautiful. So bit of a strange series all round.

Finally got to the end of the Consciousness Series last week, and posted the final two segments,

(which I think is kind of pivotal to the whole series), and the

awakening is . . .
In a nutshell awakening is really about remembering; remembering who we are, remembering we are of the light. When you think about it becoming conscious of our thoughts, our actions, our words, is really a form of remembering. Notice in any situation how people say ‘oh it clean went out of my mind’, their mind is elsewhere and they forgot something they were supposed to do, maybe something important. Not remembering is a way of going unconscious.

Enjoyed the RFI Reiki meeting last month, thanks to all who came along. Got to meet some very interesting and beautiful people at that. Even had some treatments myself (tee hee), including the healing known as celation, (so thank you Alison), and also got to try out the bars.
Next month Rosemary Lowe will be giving a Reiki 1 workshop on Sunday 12th August and Sunday 19th August Terenure, Dublin 6W.

Reiki Gathering With Gillian on Wednesday, July 25 at 7:30pm at the Novara Centre, Strand Road, Bray. It promises to be a fun and relaxed occasion. Opened to everyone who has done a Reiki 1 workshop.
